Preselection in St Petersburg: the winners!

The preselection in Russia for the Prix de Lausanne 2019 took place last week at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg. The contestants were coming from different countries: Japan, Israel, Kazakhstan, Portugal, Latvia, United-States, Moldavia or Italy, etc.

Among the jury panel of the Vaganova-Prix and especially for the Prix de Lausanne preselection were Kathryn Bradney (Prix de Lausanne’s Artistic & Executive Director), Jason Beechey (Prix de Lausanne’s Artistic Collaborator and Palucca University of Dance Dresden‘s Rector) and Tadeusz Matacz (John Cranko School‘s Director).

They are:

  1. Marat Sultanovs, from Latvia. He is 17 years old and student of the Riga Choreography School.
  2. Joana Senra, from Portugal. She is 16 years old and student of the National Conservatory Dance School, Lisboa.
  3. Vladislav Khodasevich, from Belarus. He is 16 years old and student of the Vaganova Ballet Academy, St Petersburg.

They have been awarded an all-expense paid trip to come to Switzerland and participate in the Prix de Lausanne 2019.
