The first Swiss Workshop

The Junior group – Swiss Workshop 2018

To open the summer period, the first Swiss Workshop took place on Sunday July 1st, in Lausanne, and was a great success!

They were 45 young Swiss dancers coming from all parts of the country (Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva and Lausanne) to meet in Lausanne for a day of dance 🙂

They were split into age 2 groups and were each taught a classical class and a contemporary class with the teachers Lucy Nightingale (for ballet) and Étienne Frey (for contemporary).

Despite this period of heat in Lausanne (!), the dancers enjoyed their experience so much. They of course learned a lot, in a good atmosphere. It was also a good way for them to know more about the Prix de Lausanne competition and how it works thanks to the presentation made by the Artistic and Executive Director, Kathryn Bradney.

We hope to see some of them among the candidates for the video selections of the upcoming edition of the competition!
